Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial artist and songwriter who mixes Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in a signature mix. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, the artist has worked anywhere. Sunshine has the name Denise White. Though she's from Atlanta but her origins are from Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop as musician through playing guitar and singing at church. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You a house 12 issued only in Japan and has since been remixed by a variety of producers and is a staple in her live show. She has also contributed her singing to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was named the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's production Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to be the as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls a theatre production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
