Jeanie Marie Buss was born in America. she is the current president and the controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California and grew up as part of a wealthy family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon and later owner of Lakers as well as other companies. The emotional strain she felt was exacerbated as her parents divorced in 1972. When she was 19 years old, she was appointed the general manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. She then founded in the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. Before she became vice president of the Lakers, she served as president of the Great Western Forum.
